SMART VERSION: Having WiFi & mobile data on when they are not needed uses a lot of battery. Using the MAX smart mode & light phone use, battery life can be extended to 2 or more days between charges. How is this accomplished?
It is a common myth that slower 2G or 3G uses less battery than 4G. In fact, 2G can use MORE battery because the mobile radio has to stay on longer to transfer the same amount of data. This app addresses this myth by simply turning data off when it's not needed.
In the MAX smart mode, mobile data is disabled while WiFi is connected (non-disable available). The next time you are out of WiFI range, you can then turn mobile data on manually when you need it (an AUTO-ON setting is also available, by turning mobile data on when WiFi is off or loses connection). When you turn your screen off again, mobile data turns off automatically. During the day mobile data turns on for a short time while the screen is off to get emails & Internet updates. When you unlock your phone, mobile data turns on again allowing you to resume surfing without touching the data setting.
If the mobile data switch is disabled, you can quickly override all automatic settings by clicking the UNLOCK button. This lets you switch data on or off as you normally would. Then at a certain time later (default 1 hour), all normal settings take affect automatically.
While your screen is off at night and in 'deep sleep' mode, this app turns off both the WiFi radio & mobile data setting. This simple act of turning off the radios off when the screen is off saves battery & allows you to sleep uninterrupted. When you turn the screen on in the morning WiFi turns on. When you are done surfing the net & turn your screen off, WiFi turns off again. While the screen is off, the WiFi radio turns on during the day for 5 minutes each 1 hour, which pulls in Email/Facebook/any Internet updates to your phone automatically (times are adjustable).
